The Executive Leadership Summit and dinner on 18 October is for NHS executives from across the health system to come together to explore the latest developments in healthcare IT.
Attendees are CIOs or CCIOs in the NHS, or are leaders from NHS England and NHS Digital. Together, they will work through a packed agenda designed to maximise learning opportunities and ignite debate around the biggest issues in health IT.
Our high profile speakers will once again lead discussions on the latest thinking in healthcare IT, including Keith McNeil, Chief Clinical Information Officer at NHS England, who will explore the role of clinicians in healthcare IT transformdtion, and Juliet Bauer, Director of Digital Experience at NHS England, who will outline plans to create a better digital experience for patients
Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend our expert-led and interactive workshops, including:
- Meaningful capture and display of clinical content, led by Dominic Kirkman, International Manager of Pre-Sales Engineering, Lexmark. This workshop will explore Lexmark’s approaches to using metadata effectively and appropriately to enable the meaningful use of clinical content.
- Office 365 customer immersion experience, led by Lee Francis, Director of Healthcare Strategy, Trustmarque. The focus of this workshop will be the Office 365 Customer Immersion Experience – a tool organisations can use to improve communication and collaboration. Trustmarque’s Business Intelligence Solutions Architect, Nathaniel Van Gluck, will also demonstrate Cortana Analytics – a system that uses predictive analytics which can be used to reduce ‘did not attends’ at NHS trusts.
- Reality of integrated care, led by Richard Jefferson, SRO for NIB Integrated Care Domain & Enterprise Architecture Board Chair at NHS Digital and Inderjit Singh, Head of Enterprise Architecture, NHS England. Following on from the Wachter report and the National Information Board Annual Report, which were both released last month, this workshop will provide an update on the strategic context of the integration of care information.
- Recipe for success, led by Laura Ellis-Phillips, Head of Informatics Programme Management. This session will focus on how one NHS trust is making the step from paper to digital. This workshop will explore the key ingredients needed for the successful roll-out of a large transformational digitalisation project.
“HIMSS events have an element of prestige associated with them. ELS is known for being a great place to share thoughts and best practice amongst likeminded CIOs. The networking and dinner element was really unique from a peer to peer perspective.”Christine Walters, Director of Informatics, St Helen’s and Knowsley NHS Trust
